Construction Induction White Card Training in Queensland

Whether you see construction work as a means to make a living or as a passion, there are measures you need to take before you can fully enjoy and reap the rewards of this career. There are certain courses you must complete. One of the most important is generic induction training. As a newcomer in the industry, this course equips you with the knowledge and skills you need to work safely in a construction site until such time that further on-the-job training is provided. It gives you a starting point from which you can begin to get familiar with the industry.

Another short but absolutely necessary course is the construction induction training, after which you will be given a construction induction card.

The construction induction course covers basic health and safety guidelines in the workplace, risk management, legislative requirements and responsibilities, and a host of other relevant information that will help you work safely and efficiently in your field. Once you have finished the course and have received the construction induction white card, you officially have legal permission to engage in construction work anywhere across Australia.

To be qualified for a generic induction or a construction induction card course, one must be at least 18 years of age and could read and write Basic English. You will also be asked to provide forms of identification. Some of the things you should prepare are work clothes, a good pair of boots, and a hat.
